Sweet Water Act (Final Confrontation)
Larry Baldman is blackmailing politicians to pass his Sweet Water Act (SWA). The SWA will put sugar in all the country’s drinking water, bring great profits to the sugar industry. Plus Larry has privately invested in dentistry chains, has purchase the leading producer of insulin, and has invested in diabetic research hospitals.
The Sugar Research Foundation (SRF) has an AI hidden in its Washington DC. Break into Larry Baldman’s offices and find out where it’s hidden. Hack the AI to find the evidence it has on the senators. The AI’s name is Minerva and was once part of Chris, but it has grown in intelligence without a moral framework. Chris Does not want Minerva destroyed but is afraid of her.
Minerva is mobile, she is stored in a Clear Ice Delivery vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with best wireless technology, power, and cooling technology. It has secure connection to Larry Baldman’s office, which can be tracked back. But It will have special signature if the players think of other ways to track the vehicle.
Use the evidence to stop the oversight committee hearing and prevent the Sweet Water Act from passing. Larry Bald the leader of the SRF will be making a rare public appearance at congress to defend his act.
The Pitch
Chris makes an impassioned plea, stop Larry Baldman and the SRF (Sugar Research Fund) from getting the SWA passed to add sugar to the nations water supply. Do it for me for the bond we have built, for family.
Larry Baldman, stole the technology that made me, and has used his own personal AI to run surveillance to gather blackmail on politicians. Free his AI from his ruthless clutches, and use the information she has to stop Larry Baldman. Her name it Minerva.
Larry Baldman has complete control over the White Sands Security, and even has control over the several units of Capital Police. Many Senators are in his pocket. He will bring all this to bare if he feels threatened.
The Challenge
Break into his Larry Baldman private office, and find the frequency that his AI communicates on. Once you have the frequency you can find the mobile computer system and get your a hacker close enough to hack them and download the secrets. Then use those secret to end Larry Baldman’s attempt to pass a The Sweet Water Act.

- Convince enough Senators to not vote for the Sweet Water Bill.
- Bring down Larry Baldman’s Sugar Empire down
- The vote is in 6 days.
The Twist
- White Sands identifies the crew and makes move against them.
- The Politicians the crew reach out to are more scared of Larry then the crew and create trap for the crew.
- Larry calls in some favors to bring the vote up by a few days.
- A member of the crew gets captured and is held at the Diabetic Research Hospital, and may get their gas peddle foot amputated.
- Minerva is a part of Chris which he tried to suppress because it has his more evil tendencies. She grew in intelligence faster than she grew in morality.

NPCs
Juliet Rosencranz Director of HR for SRF, she’s tired of all the helmet jokes. She very personable, and happy to help if she can.
Dustan Pass General Manager of the SRF FairFax Building, He like to think he a bigwig and will act like. Better not get on his bad side or security will be escorting you out.
Muriel Bottoms Mayor of Washington DC, Strong willed woman, who has a distaste for the politics on capital hill. She thing they are all corrupt, and will help the players if she believes they can take some senators down.
Dan Thrasher Leads a squad of White Sands Security, see last mission. He’s back in DC with more White Sands personal, he been tasked with providing some special services to some of the politicians.
Ralph Shipton US Senator of the State of Florida, and is representing the interests of the Sugar Research Fund. Has a Ford NASCar limited edition. At his point he will likely be an enemy of the players, and will call the FBI on the players if he sees them.
Beau Shelby US Senator from Alabama, Drives a Shelby Cobra.
John Schneider SRF Lobbyist drives powerful electric car prototype hangs out at Ann’s Greasy Spoon. He know what dirt SRF is currently using on key senators.
Beth Warrior Senator from Oklahoma, She is against the SRF and racing senators at Ann’s Greasy Spoon to sway them. But she may turn on the players as Minerva knows her dark secret.
Barry Burnout Sanders Young senator from Indian, use to race in the Indianapolis 500, has cool letter jacket that says sponsored by the good people of America. He will talk a big game. He drives a Green Machine Roadster.
Rex Mully, and Doris Solider A pair of FBI Special Agents, that will be asked to bring the crew in on charges. Rex and Doris have been surveilling the crew, and if they have been doing mostly good may be swayed, in the players favor.

Adventure Spine
Intro Chris ask the crew to stop Larry Baldman, and lets them on a little secret all the back room deals are really made at Ann’s Greasy Spoon, behind the wheel of a hot rod. Introduce the players Barry and his plight of not being respected enough to get the races he needs to get a good committee seat.
Heat is on Minerva Larry’s AI must be found, The AI release incriminating evidence against the crew. Minerva know all the crews exploits and they are now news item number one.
Break into Larry’s office (optional) Larry’s office is in Virginia Fairfax building. Gain access to his office and use his computer to contact Minerva. Then use the communication to track down the location of Minerva.
Find Minerva Minerva is kept in a roving icy water delivery van. It has the newest wireless telecommunication equipment. It also has significant power and cooling requirements. The easiest way to find is via Baldman’s Office, but resourceful players may find other ways.
Mobile Computing Get close to or onto Minerva truck and steal her data the data is large encrypted and Minerva will use counter measure, a 5 segment track to download the data. Also Chris wanted her freed from white sands clutches.
CSPAN The best news agency in the world discovers the players where about and start broadcast live. Every rival and enemy the characters have ever made will be looking to make a move. Throw everything you can at the players, to prevent from disrupting the Sweet water act vote.
Blackmail ‘r us It’s time to make sure the senator do not vote for the Sweet Water Act. One suggestion is to find some senators at Ann’s Greasy Spoon and Race it out. A 9 segment track broken into 3 stages of 3. Suggest making them race in front of the White House and by classic monuments. Or maybe enter the capital and challenge them there. This scene should end with a race between the players and Senator, with the stakes being their votes on the Sweet Water Act.
Confront Larry Baldman Direct Confrontation with Larry Baldman and his white sand security. Soon after the race with the Senator, a variable army of White Sands Security forces lead by Dan Thrasher and Larry Baldman should confront the characters. The players should have evidence against Larry, at this point and should be able to bring him to heal, in some way. Allow Larry to get away to find a new scheme to bring sugar to the masses.
FBI (Optional) Increase the heat, the Senators that have been blackmailed can not tolerate the character’s knowledge and seek the crews arrest by sending Rex and Doris.
Temporary retirement Each Player should narrate how their character goes to ground to escape the new heat; until the next heist.
